A few old pictures from 1957 when Fort Myers Shores was just starting to be built:
Thanks to Billy Blough for these old photos!
The Fort Myers Shores neighborhood was designed and built between 1955-1969 utilizing three different builders. Local amenities include the Davis Boat Ramp which allows watercraft entry into the Caloosahatchee River by way of a local canal, the Fort Myers Shores Nature Trail, which includes a boardwalk through a natural Cypress slough and a playground, the Fort Myers Shores Fire Department is literally across the street, and Riverdale High School is within walking distance of our neighborhood. Please see the Fort Myers Shores Directory for a listing of all the great businesses that we have here as well. Check out the Fort Myers Shores pics below!
